Disaster Recovery Service
Kenyon's Disaster Recovery Service includes search and recovery of human remains, all morgue processes, forensic disaster victim identification using the Plass Data system, worldwide repatriation and memorials. Also included are comprehensive personal effects management including search, recovery, inventory, storage and return to families.
In many cases temporary internment is required while waiting for victim identification or locating next of kin. Utilizing experience from a century of mass fatality incident management, Kenyon has developed procedures specifically for temporary internment of dead bodies. The procedures are respectful, dignified and enhance the ability to exhume the body later for repatriation to loved ones. The process includes collection of ante-mortem data and DNA samples to enhance the identification process. Burial includes the use of underground and above ground artificial landmarks that are detectable by metal detector or other sensor for the recovery of individual remains. Burial is also recorded using GPS location equipment for ease of recovery.
