Training with Korean Air
10 November 2014 - Seoul and Pusan, Korea
From 10-13 November, Kenyon Associate Steve Halliwell conducted Special Assistance Team (SAT) Member training courses in Seoul and Pusan, South Korea. Over 350 Team Members for Korean Air attended the training.
Kenyon’s SAT member training program consists of extensive use of case studies, large group discussions and exercises. The goal of the courses are to understand the needs of families in the immediate aftermath of an emergency where loved ones have been affected. Delegates from Korean Air learned about the different roles and functions of a SAT member, discussed cultural and religious aspects of a humanitarian response and gained an overall understanding of best practices in providing direct support either in centralized facilities or at home locations.
In addition to being a Kenyon Associate, Steve Halliwell is currently in active airline service as a Director of Operations and Security. Steve is an experienced and current IATA IOSA auditor who has been heavily involved in passing the IOSA audit process four times and audited numerous airlines globally. In terms of emergency planning, has delivered many workshops/presentations and exercises.
