Kenyon Associate Director, Crisis Communications Drops in to Speak at Helitech
3 October 2017 | London, UK
Kenyon Associate Director, Crisis Communications Donald Steel addressed delegates at the Helitech International Helicopter Expo and Conference in London this month. Steel explained the Kenyon approach to crisis communications including the importance of social media, particularly where an incident occurs in a populated area.
“The delegates at the crisis communications seminar at Helitech were enthusiastic to have the opportunity to discuss the way crisis communications is changing in the social media age. It was clear that the companies represented, both operators and users of helicopters, put a high priority on having a highly effective crisis plan," stated Steel.
Those in attendance, who ranged from helicopter manufacturers and servicing companies to crew and operators, were urged by Steel to revise their crisis plans on their return from the conference, taking into account the need to communicate immediately in an incident. A gap in communications between the organization and those affected can be what hinders a speedy recovery after an incident.
Helitech International is the largest helicopter exhibition in Europe dedicated to helicopter products, parts, accessories and services. The show brings together leading manufacturers, suppliers, buyers and engineers in the industry.
