Crisis Management Training with Nesma

Nesma Airlines, a member of Saudi Arabia’s Nesma Group, is a flag carrier of two countries: the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Arabic Republic of Egypt. Nesma operates scheduled domestic flights within Saudi Arabia as well as international regional flights. The team at Nesma has taken the opportunity to learn from Kenyon’s experience and to train as many of its staff as possible in the requirements of Aviation Crisis Management.

Kenyon Associate Ian Marshall spent three days in Hail, Saudi Arabia, with the multinational team, including the Deputy CEO, the flight safety team of the new division of Nesma Airlines and a cross section of the operational staff including aircrew. The group included citizens from Saudi Arabia, Brazil, Italy and India.

The busy three-day package consisted of a day focused on the 12 Principles of Crisis Management augmented with case studies, followed by a full day of Airline Response (Go) Team training with particular emphasis on humanitarian care. Day three’s focus was on review and putting the lessons into practice with a four-hour enhanced tabletop exercise.
