Preparing Station Managers with Porter Airlines

Porter Airlines works diligently on improving and updating their emergency response plans and procedures. They know that taking care of the survivors and families of those involved in an accident is paramount.

When working with Kenyon to plan their September Humanitarian / Special Assistance Team Member training, Janet Stewart, Porter’s Director of Safety, requested that the focus be on both Kenyon’s capabilities and the airline’s responsibilities and how both will respond in case of an incident. She especially wanted to illustrate those actions required at involved stations. The training course, conducted by Kenyon Associate Director Jerry Novosad, included many of Porter’s Canadian and U.S. station managers.

Janet and the team at Porter had nothing but kind words to share, noting, “following our recent SAT team training with Jerry Novosad, I wanted to convey just how pleased we were to have been his students. His experience, wisdom and knowledge made for an exceptional training session for our managers.”
