Brian Houston began as our new Operations Specialist in the UK office. His role will cover reviewing and updating standard operating procedures, maintaining readiness status of equipment and resources along with being involved in incidents and active operations. Prior to joining Kenyon, Brian was working as a Consultant with UNHCR reviewing a number of internal projects for performance attainment. From 2010 to 2014, Brian was Resilience and Sustainability Manager for a Local Authority in Wales. His work covered Civil Contingencies (where he first encountered Kenyon). He has dealt with response and recovery to flooding, severe weather events and land contamination, amongst others. He was also involved in the London 2012 Olympics and the Olympic Torch Route. He has written 3 multi-agency exercises and was involved in business continuity plan development and management. Brian was also a sustainability manager, graduate officer, worked for radio in Dublin and New York and is a qualified drama teacher. He studied for his undergraduate in Newcastle, and post-graduate in York and Rome. He enjoys rugby, travel (84 countries and counting) and politics. Kenyon is excited to welcome Brian to the team, and believe he will prove to be a valuable resource to our clients.
