Resources

Kenyon has significant resources located in Kenyon premises worldwide. These resources are owned by Kenyon and are maintained and packed so that they are available for immediate deployment. Our teams regularly train in the use of the specialist equipment. One of our operational principles is to pack equipment into functional deployment 'kits'. Having pre-prepared kits is a significant time saver for rapid deployment and ensures that Kenyon teams arrive with the correct equipment ready for immediate operations.

CBRNE Protection (Chemical Biological Radiation Nuclear Explosive)

In the event of radiation fallout or potential radiation leaks, Kenyon is prepared to protect its assessment team/ first responders that may have to venture in to more hostile areas. The CBRNE kits are for protection should radiation occur to help us move ourselves safely from the area. Kenyon will not knowingly put its team directly in to any potentially deadly situation.

SAT Phones - Standard landlines and mobile phone lines may be disrupted following a disaster or crisis and large spikes in call volumes caused by widespread emergencies often overload the systems when they are needed most. Satellite telephony can avoid this problem and be useful during natural disasters.

Conference Bridge & Translation Equipment - The Conference Bridge is designed to assist in communicating important information to large sums of stakeholders in a timely fashion. Its features allow us to have dialogue with those who are currently in attendance while also allowing remote telephone access via a toll-free number. The translation equipment partnered with the Conference Bridge enhances the ability to communicate via multiple languages at one time.

Icom, Comm Stations, Walkie - Talkies - Support local communication between Kenyons during a deployment. Icoms/ Comm Stations are designed to communicate over long distances while out in the field and back to base station for updates and reports keeping everyone in constant communication especially in austere conditions. Walkie- Talkies are used in everything from the Family Assistance Center to the Morgue operations once again keeping everyone in constant communication with one another.

Assists both the family assistance and morgue operations in identifying individuals in a timely manner. PDA™ (persons directly affected) are used in the family assistance to help collect any information from loved ones that can be used to help identification including pictures, clothing, physical descriptions of identifying marks and DNA collection. PM is used in the morgue to record all physical data collected from each person. Both the PDA file and PM are then reviewed by a group of professionals to help determine identity.
