Kenyon Conducts Training with Finnair

Kenyon Associate Mike Seear was with Finnair in Helsinki last week, presenting the 12 Principles of Crisis Management to representatives from Senior Management, Corporate Communications, Care Teams, Call Center, Go Team and Operations. Mike started out discussing Kenyon’s capabilities and the importance in further developing their Emergency Response Plan with focus on a ‘joint operational concept’ so Kenyon can best assist Finnair should they have a crisis.

In addition to using recent current events as best and worst practice examples to illustrate the 12 Principles, important concepts addressed include;

  • Maintaining two-way information flow between Finnair Crisis Management Center and Kenyon’s Emergency Operations Center

  • The need for realistic input-response exercises that include all involved personnel and partners to test plans, procedures and facilities as well as personnel in an effective and realistic way.
  • Both Mike and the Finnair staff came away successful, with a Finnair Security manager offering, “It was a good reminder for us and an energy boost for our care team leaders.” The excellent attentiveness of the participants is a clear sign that Finnair is committed to caring for their passengers and families.
