Kenyon Hosts Training for Saudi Arabian Airlines
16 April 2014 | Kenyon International Emergency Services
Kenyon hosted 30 management staff members from Saudia (Saudi Arabian Airlines) for a week of training at its Bracknell offices in the UK.
Three Crisis Communications courses were delivered in Crisis Communications by Ben McCarthy, one of Kenyon’s team of communications experts. Ben has significant experience training airline clients in the Middle East. The Saudia staff, drawn from across the airline’s network, were involved in multiple crisis scenario exercises and were personally instructed in the techniques for facing the journalists’ cameras. The leader of the Saudia team commented, “this was such a useful training experience, I feel much more confident now to talk to the media”.
Kenyon's Vice President of Commercial Services, Jerry Allen, delivered a course on the 12 Principles of Aviation Crisis Management. Before understanding the management principles, emergency staff should also understand the consequences that are common to most crises. This training gave both an appreciation of the consequences but also the guidance for sensitive and timely management interventions.
