Remembering Lockerbie

On December 21, 1988, the bombing of Pan Am Flight 103 over Lockerbie, Scotland, claimed 270 lives and forever changed the town, the families affected, and the aviation community worldwide.

This anniversary is a moment of remembrance — to honor those who lost their lives, to stand with their families, and to recognize the extraordinary efforts of responders and communities who came together in the face of tragedy.

Honoring Victims

Today we remember the 270 victims — passengers, crew, and residents of Lockerbie — and acknowledge the families whose lives were changed forever.

We also recognize the people of Lockerbie, whose compassion and care for victims’ families became a lasting symbol of dignity and humanity in response to tragedy.
