Based in Bogota, Gustavo’s extensive experience stretches across aviation, defense, technology, infrastructure, and consulting sectors. He has effectively managed critical national security situations at Colombia's Ministry of Defense and the National Intelligence Directorate, where he served as Director of Intelligence Analysis and Production. In these roles, he provided strategic counsel to the President, high-ranking government officials, and military leaders on crises involving public order, corruption, international affairs, and peace processes.
In the corporate arena, Gustavo has managed major crises for high-profile clients such as Odebrecht Panama, the Ministry of Public Works of Panama, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Panama, The IBT Group, Kuaishou, and Gas Natural Fenosa, among others. Over his seven-year tenure at Copa Airlines, he created the new Crisis Communications Manual and launched the internal Spokesperson and Media Training Academy. During this period, he trained over 10 C-level executives and more than 200 leaders, executing approximately 300 emergency drills across the Americas.
He also developed comprehensive crisis communication procedures and manuals for Arajet Airlines and handled multiple incidents for the airline.
